I'm new to the game but tired of burning thru books to get the enchantment I want. What is the advantage of this setup besides being cool? I have 15 book cases around my enchantment table. Is this better?

Im glad they changed the mace because it completely outclassed all other weapons in the game.

I’m glad they’re experimenting with the mace and all, but when is someone actually going to use the thing? Its main function is so niche compared to a max level enchanted sword that I legit cannot see it being used often. When are you more than 4 blocks above your enemy that you need a specific weapon to capitalize off of that? I suppose elytras work with it, but at that point you’d already have a ton of enchantments on your sword or bow because that’s accessible af. Not worth imo.

Anyone salty about the mace balance changes seriously needs to do more in-game testing, or get their heads checked. Breach is an additive reduction, not a multiplicative one [eg. 60% armor -60% = 0%, not 60%*(1-0.6)=24%], which makes it do a lot more damage than it should. It shouldn't be compatible with density. You still do extremely strong damage with the mace (from my testing, jumping from 2 blocks, without jump boost, and landing a crit leaves a full netherite target with 1.5 hearts with Breach IV) so it's still worth using. It might not be a sword replacement, but that would be unhealthy for the game to suddenly devalue an entire class of weapon just because one is rarer. It's much better to have a healthier ecosystem of equipment in which both have a use. The mace before the current changes was overtuned and eclisped every other weapon. It was absolutely necessary for it to be tuned down to how it is now, which is in a strong, but respectable state. I urge people to spend a few minutes to spawn a few mobs and test the changes before they lose themselves to emotions and come to the conclusion that "the mace is useless!!1", because it's clearly not.

i hope there's a vanillatweaks to make the mace as powerful as it was before, i doubt i'd ever use it because it's so hard to get but the more powerful version seemed like fun to mess around with

this has got to be the worst tutorial I've ever watched, i know its not block by block but you didn't bother to fix the dropper/dispenser mistake even though you acknowledged it, and your material list was just wrong, the amount of redstone and filler blocks you need are off love you X but please get your stuff right 😭

The mace nerf was kinda nice, except the exclusive enchants part and the removal of wind burst, yet the mace remains op but not fun...
